Feel-good? This song is happiness itself!
Michael Jackson may no longer be with us, but L.A. Reid and Timbaland sure brought him back to life in 2014! L.A. Reid (head of Epic Records) spearheaded the production of MJ’s posthumous album, Xscape, using a variety of unreleased songs and demos and put several big-name producers/production teams in charge of contemporising them.
In charge of this particular track was Timbaland and Jerome “J-Roc” Harmon who brought in long-term Timbaland collaborator, Justin Timberlake, to add some guest vocals for the single release, seeing further chart success for the sadly deceased entertainer.
No matter what you may think of him personally, no single person can deny the man’s incredible talents; vocally and in his live performances. His death has left a great hole in the industry as one of the all-time greatest performers.
This song fits perfectly just about anywhere at any time; it can brighten the darkest day, lift the deepest mood or just make a great summer day even better. I’ve listened to this 100 times or more and I’m still not bored of it! (I may be slightly biased though as Michael Jackson is my favourite performer ever; I’m surprised I’ve held off this long from making him a featured track of the day!)
