#FeelGoodFriday: OneRepublic – ‘Good Life’, ‘Feel Again’ & ‘I Lived’

We have featured OneRepublic before, with their remarkable song, Can’t Stop but today I have chosen 3 of their most uplifting songs to feature. The band, as a whole, usually write upbeat songs or ones with positive messages, and these songs are incredible.

Good Life‘ is taken from their second album, Waking Up and its almost satirical lyrics and light-hearted instrumentation make for a wonderful song.

‘Feel Again’ is a unique song as the beat was inspired by the heartbeats of children and their work with Save The Children on their ‘Every Beat Matters’ campaign. It’s such a fun song and the chorus just hooks you right in.

OneRepublic – ‘Feel Again’

Ryan Tedder penned this track for his four-year-old son, yet lyrically I think this song can speak to everyone around the world. Its all about saying that you’ve lived your life to the fullest and no matter what happens along the way, you can say you did it! My favourite lyric is; “With every broken bone, I swear I lived.” The video is amazing too; featuring a 15-year-old fan of the band (Bryan Warneck) living with cystic fibrosis and even though he faces this each and every day, he still makes the most of his life; it’s such a powerful message.
