I can’t believe that Labrinth released this song nearly 5 years ago now…and yet it’s still my karaoke song of choice!

‘Earthquake’ is a collaboration between Labrinth (aka Timothy McKenzie) and long-term pal, Tinie Tempah (aka Patrick Okogwu), and it rocketed straight to Number 2 in the UK charts on release! It’s not hard to see why either, the combination of electronica, pop and grime makes for a rather epic sound. I particularly like the choral sounds of Lab’s voice, in the breakdown before Tinie Tempah‘s rap!

What a fantastic song – the video is pretty cool too (check it out below)!

What do you think of this collaboration? Were you a fan of this song when it was released? Is this your karaoke song of choice too? I don’t know about you, but I want the new album now!
