#Two4Tunesday: Troye Sivan – ‘Bloom’ & Jess Glynne – ‘I’ll Be There’

Troye Sivan – ‘Bloom’

Troye Sivan is South African-born, Australian singer, songwriter, actor and YouTuber who has been gathering a huge online following over the past few years.

Openly gay, Sivan describes ‘Bloom’ as a, ‘subversively queer song,’ that sees him take on the role of a passive guy losing his virginity. Although it’s full of innuendo, it is a really fun, subtle track that has an incredibly catchy chorus (but not in an obvious sense). It’s summery and deserves to be played loud…I expect his pride appearances this year will be huge!

No music video (as such) has been released, however a 3D animated lyric video, created by Jason Ebeyer, was released, featuring an animated version of Sivan floating through a fantasy land.

Jess Glynne – ‘I’ll Be There’

Jess Glynne is finally back with the first single since her 2015 debut, I Cry When I Laugh, indicating that her second album is on its way!

‘I’ll Be There’ is an uplifting track with very soulful and gospel-like qualities to it whilst maintaining a contemporary pop sound. It is a track that transcends as it progresses; this song makes it easy to see why she’s won a Grammy! I hope this is another Number 1 hit for her, like 2015’s debut, ‘Hold My Hand’.

The video itself doesn’t appear to have much of a narrative however the locations she performs in are pretty interesting and vibrant colours certainly play an important part throughout. Well worth a watch.

‘I’ll Be There’ can also be downloaded from iTunes now! – https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/ill-be-there/1376766204?i=1376767301

#Two4Tunesday: Tinie Tempah – ‘Not Letting Go’ featuring Jess Glynne & Trevor Guthrie – ‘Summertime’

This week’s #Two4Tunesday post contains so amazing summer songs; Tinie Tempah is brining an old-school summer sound with the incredibly talented Jess Glynne, whilst Canadian singer, Trevor Guthrie, has a song titled ‘Summertime’.

Tinie Tempah is back with another chart-topping, huge hit! The single, which features guest vocals from Jess Glynne (singer of the massive song, Hold My Hand) rocketed straight to Number 1 in its first week.

The video also reflects the summer sound and when asked about his collaboration with Jess Glynne, Tinie said, “Both being Londoners, I wanted to make a song that captured that London summertime feeling.”

A huge song, created by a massive pair of talents!

Trevor Guthrie‘s new song, ‘Summertime’ is a relatively unknown song to be, but I heard it yesterday and instantly loved it! It popped up in the related videos section on YouTube and that’s how I came across him!

The Canadian-born singer-songwriter has lent his vocals to tracks by Armin van Buuren, R3hab and Markus Schulz, but this track is a solo release of his.

No official video has been released yet, but I reckon there could be big things for this guy in the future!

There goes another #Two4Tunesday with two really amazing songs! Please share this post across your social media accounts and spread the love.

#FeelGoodFriday: Jess Glynne – ‘Hold My Hand’

Jess Glynne Banner

So, this was a proper last minute thing! I had my ‘Feel-Good Friday’ song all sorted and ready to post…that’s when this song came into my life; I just had to share it!

This song is without a doubt, ‘Feel-Good’! Jess Glynne’s voice dances brilliantly across a wide range of notes and elevates throughout the song, perfectly! The prominent use of piano is a welcome change to all of the synth in the charts right now (not that I don’t love synths…I do!) and makes me reminisce of 90s/early 00s pop. The chorus is just brilliant too – what a fantastic song! As if Jess Glynne wasn’t going from strength to strength already; this song will surely see her rocket to even bigger things! ‘Hold My Hand’ is released 22nd March.

Turn the volume up and get your singing on! Please share this 🙂

Have you got that Friday feeling yet? What’s making you ‘Feel-Good’ today? Share your song to help brighten our day!
