Hey Muzik Speakerz!

March 2016 has been another great month and saw us turn 1 year old!

We did an interview with Lucy Spraggan and a review of her show, when she performed in Brighton and did a series of special birthday playlists for each themed day; #MellowMonday#Two4Tunesday#WildCardWednesday#ThrowbackThursday and #FeelGoodFriday.

We’ve had a blast and been so proud to have hit the milestone of our first birthday and coming up next month, should be more interviews and reviews (in particular, Patent Pending…again! But this time, in person; which guarantees to be a massive laugh!) as well as our usual posts to bring you music for each of our themed days.

We hope that you have enjoyed this month’s songs and you can find both the Spotify and YouTube playlists below!

As always, please keep sharing our posts and remember to share your song choices with us by commenting on our posts or talking to us on Twitter and Facebook.

#FeelGoodFriday: Kelly Clarkson – ‘Piece By Piece’ & ‘Piece By Piece (Idol Version)’

‘Piece By Piece’ is the title track to Kelly Clarkson‘s seventh studio album and it’s a beautifully written song.

The song is a narrative to her father, who abandoned her family as a child, however is opposed by the love her husband shows her and her daughter (and expected son). It might be an odd choice for #FeelGoodFriday, but the song has a happy ending and that’s what I’m focusing on.

The song gathered even more attention when Clarkson performed a stripped-back rendition of the song on the fifteenth (and final) season of American Idol. The p erformance saw Clarkson break down at the emotion behind the song (combined with her pregnancy emotions) – it’s a raw performance.

I’ve included the original video for the song as well as the American Idol performance, as both are great!

What do you think of the song? Does her live performance bring tears to your eyes? Please share the link to this post on your media accounts!

Have a great Easter weekend everyone!

Parachute are a pop rock band from America who have toured with various acts, such as Kelly ClarksonAndy Grammer, The All-American RejectsThe Script and more.

The band has gone through several members in recent years but currently consists of 3 main members; Will AndersonJohnny Stubblefield and Kit French. This particular track, ‘Crave’ is one of the first singles to be taken from the band’s upcoming fourth album, Wide Awake.

This is a great track – it’s got the blend of pop and rock perfectly matched and makes for the idilic #FeelGoodFriday track.

No official video has been released yet, but we’ll keep you posted on this front, as always. I’m also very excited by this track and look forward to checking out their album, when it arrives.

#Christmas #FeelGoodFriday: Kelly Clarkson – ‘Underneath The Tree’

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

This week, in honour of Christmas, I have been posting a daily themed track, as usual, but am adding to a special Christmas playlist, each day, which you can follow on Spotify here – https://open.spotify.com/user/muzik5peaks/playlist/6NNRbSEYkO3LMXx2dSrE0I

Every day this week, I have been adding 5 new tracks to the playlist (based on the theme that day). Today, that playlist is COMPLETE!

Follow the link about to gain access to Muzik Speaks‘ special 26-track Christmas playlist (I threw an extra song in at the last minute today)! Please either subscribe to the YouTube channel or follow the playlist on Spotify 🙂

Oh, and…MERRY CHRISTMAS 2015!

Kelly Clarkson – ‘Underneath The Tree’

She may well be from a talent show, but Kelly Clarkson is remarkable – her voice is great and her music is pop, but you can’t help but love it!

In 2013, Clarkson released her first Christmas album, ‘Wrapped In Red’, and ‘Underneath The Tree’ was the lead single from it. This track has just about every ounce of “feel-good” vibes you could want in a Christmas song – it’s got Clarkson’s amazing vocals sitting nicely above a big band style backing track, complete with sleigh bells, bell chimes and even a saxophone solo. Kelly even recorded all of her backing vocals, essentially making her own choir – that’s quite some feat!

Also added to the playlist today:

  • Glee Cast – Jingle Bell Rock
  • Elton John – Step Into Christmas (thrown in at the last minute!)
  • Pentatonix – Winter Wonderland / Don’t Worry Be Happy featuring Tori Kelly
  • Ariana Grande – Santa Baby featuring Liz Gillies
  • Wham! – Last Christmas

I just want to say to each and every person who has been supporting Muzik Speaks this year and to anyone and everyone celebrating today, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!
