Major Lazer – ‘Cold Water’ featuring Justin Bieber & MØ
Once again, Major Lazer have teamed up with previous collaborators, Justin Bieberand MØto create a new, surefire hit, in the form of ‘Cold Water’.
‘Cold Water’ was penned by Benny Blanco and Ed Sheeran among others and features two awesome vocalists. It has major influences from the tropical house genre, as well as some dance style to it too. It’s a very vibrant song and sure to be a hit this summer, probably similarly to their previous smash hit, ‘Lean On’.
What are your thoughts on this new Major Lazer song?
Charlie Puth – ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’ featuring Selena Gomez
Charlie Puth rose to fame mainly after his feature on the Wiz Khalifa track, ‘See You Again‘. Since then, he’s had a string of hits and most recently he released ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’ from his debut album, Nine Track Mind.
This song is also tropical house in style with influences of dance – it’s actually beautifully crafted – the duet vocals sit nicely on top of the house beat and remain relaxed yet catchy in their feel. Although it hasn’t done amazingly in the charts, it caught my attention when I heard Nick Grimshaw play it on Radio 1 recently!
No official video has been released but I’ve included a live version as well as a YouTube audio video. *UPDATE* An official video has now been released – it’s really interesting with the split screen but it’s a shame he didn’t get Selena Gomez in it too.
Have you checked out this track yet? What are your opinions of it?
‘Middle’ is a song released by French DJ and record producer, DJ Snake. Although the song was actually released in October 2015, the music video didn’t premier until March 2016. The song has since gone on to reach Number 10 in the UK charts, and still, after 14 weeks, remains at Number 16! It’s clearly been a big hit over here!
The song takes its influences from Electropop and Trap music and has a similar vibe to ‘Lean On‘; his collaboration with Major Lazer and MØ. This particular track also features Bipolar Sunshine, lending some awesome vocals to the song!
What do you think of this track? Are you a DJ Snake fan? What would your song choice for #FeelGoodFriday be? Please leave your choice in a comment below or talk to us via our social media accounts.

I am besotted with this song! I simply can’t get enough of it!
The opening instrumentation of this track just hooked me in instantly! Having recently collaborated with Major Lazer & DJ Snake on the track, ‘Lean On‘, MØ has just released a new solo single, ‘Kamikaze’.
MØ is a Danish singer who has been compared to the likes of Grimes, with her high-pitched, off-kilter vocals and unique sense of style. He name actually comes from the initials of her Middle and Surname, but in Danish, also mean ‘maiden’ or ‘virgin’.
This song was produced by Diplo and that’s not hard to tell, since he is a member of Major Lazer and they recently collaborated. The music video is also the perfect accompaniment, with it’s almost post-apocalyptic look and feel and it has been likened to M.I.A.’s video for her single, ‘Bad Girls’.
Does this song give you that #FeelGoodFriday feel? If not, please share your choice in a comment below or on our social medias. Have a good weekend guys; see you Monday!
