#FeelGoodFriday: Sigala – ‘Easy Love’

Sigala Banner

What an epic, feel-good song this is! It’s got a summery sound and an amazing sample…recognise it?!

You probably got it straight away, but the song features samples from The Jackson 5’s massive song, ‘ABC’ combining 70s Motown funk with tropical house; it’s the sound of the summer!

The video is really cool too, featuring a bunch of children doing dance-offs, with the main duo performing some rather insanely synchronised moves!

What do you think of this massive song?! Are you a fan? Have you already heard this? Please leave a comment with your #FeelGoodFriday track for the week, below.

#ThrowbackThursday: Shanice – ‘I Love Your Smile’

Shanice Banner

This is such a classic, early 90s song by Shanice; it’s just so happy and uplifting, it’s brilliant!

Signed to Motown, Shanice was known for her R&B sound and ability to sing in the whistle register. At the end of the song, you can hear Janet Jackson‘s laugh too.

Do you remember this song? What’s your #ThrowbackThursday song this week? Please leave it in a comment below.

#FeelGoodFriday: Melanie Fiona – ‘Please Don’t Go (Cry Baby)’

Melanie Fiona Banner

This song defines ‘feel-good’ for me! Whenever I’m down, this is the song I play to pick myself up again! It’s catchy, it’s upbeat, it’s reminiscent of Motown with a clear soul edge to it – it’s just so HAPPY!

Melanie Fiona is from Canada and has worked with the likes of Drake; she was previously signed to Universal Motown Records but now resides with Universal Republic Records and has even received a Grammy Nomination for ‘Best Female R&B Vocal Performance’, for her single ‘It Kills Me’.

This song was never released as a single, but was instead an album track from her debut album, ‘The Bridge’. I really don’t know what more I can say about this; it’s just AWESOME!
