#FeelGoodFriday: Superfruit – ‘Bad 4 Us’

SUP3RFRUIT (Superfruit) started out as a web show, hosted on YouTube by Scott Hoying and Mitch Grassi (originally known for their work in Pentatonix) but recently, the pair debuted their first track as a duo, ‘Bad 4 Us’, and it. Is. AWESOME!

The song is catchy and fun and it truly is the perfect debut track for the duo’s side project. After years of yearning from fans, it looks like the pair might finally be releasing a side project of music as the comment on the video states, ‘official music coming in 2017!’ Hopefully it won’t be long until more emerges from them, as this song is just awesome.

The music video is just incredible; it’s fun, interesting, funny and nostalgic of 90s video games…and openly makes reference to the pair’s sexuality. The duo’s heads work amazingly on the cartoon bodies and it’s been superbly animated.

Unfortunately, the song is currently not available to listen to on Spotify or for purchase via iTunes, so for now, you’ll just have to watch/listen to the music video below.

What are your thoughts of this incredibly catchy pop tune? Got your own #FeelGoodFriday track to recommend to us? Please leave your thoughts or song suggestions in a comment or via our social media accounts.

#Christmas #Two4Tunesday: Pentatonix – ‘Joy To The World’ & Jessie J – ‘Man With The Bag’

It’s (nearly) Christmas!!!

…in 3 days!

This week, as it’s Christmas, I’m posting themed track (as normal) but I am also going to be adding to a special Christmas playlist, each day.

Every day this week, you can expect 5 new tracks to be added to the playlist (based on the theme that day), which means by Christmas Day, you should have a special 25-track Christmas playlist! Please either subscribe to the YouTube channel or follow the playlist on Spotify 🙂

Pentatonix – ‘Joy To The World’

Pentatonix are possibly one of the most successful a cappella groups to grace the cybersphere, rising to fame both on YouTube and as part of US television series, The Sing-Off!

They released their debut originals album earlier this year but they have also re-released their Christmas album, with new tracks, including this latest addition, ‘Joy To The World’.

It’s truly impressive what these guys can do with their vocals and as is tradition, this #Two4Tunesday is based on the current songs I’m loving – and this is definitely one of them!

Jessie J – ‘Man With The Bag’

Jessie J has also released a Christmas song this year, but I’m sure you haven’t missed it – it’s been featured in the Boots Christmas advert campaign.

It’s a cover of the 1950s song, ‘(Everybody’s Waitin’ for) The Man with the Bag’, originally by Kay Starr, but also featured in the US television show, Ally McBeal.

Jessie J‘s voice is insanely powerful, and it’s nice to hear her do something a bit different and jazz orientated.

Also added to the playlist today:

  • Kylie Minogue – Santa Claus Is Coming To Town featuring Frank Sinatra
  • Justin Bieber – Mistletoe
  • Tamar Braxton – Sleigh Ride

#FeelGoodFriday: Pentatonix – ‘Sing’ & ‘Cheerleader’

I have featured Pentatonix before with their debut original single, Can’t Sleep Love, however the internet’s favourite a cappella group are back again not only with another original from their originals album, but a cover too!

I have chosen to feature ‘Sing’ because it’s such an epically uplifting song – the chorus’ ascent is perfect and the use of collective vocals is stunning! The video is simple yet effective and is a great addition to the song.

The group’s cover of ‘Cheerleader’ is not to be missed either! The vocal riffing they have added, in places, makes this song an exciting variation from the original. I like the breakdown in it too and I have to say, this version makes me picture a huge crowd singing at the top of their lungs and makes me want to do the same!

Great job Pentatonix! I can see these guys rocketing further into the limelight and they deserve it!

Do you like Pentatonix? Have you been a fan since the beginning? Do you think they’ve got that #FeelGoodFriday feeling? Share your song choices with up in a comment below or on Facebook and Twitter.

We hope you have enjoyed our song choices throughout September and you can find the Spotify and YouTube playlists below!

#Two4Tunesday: Ellie Goulding – ‘On My Mind’ & Pentatonix – ‘Can’t Sleep Love’ featuring Tink

Since releasing the Fifty Shades Of Grey inspired Love Me Like You Do, Ellie Goulding is back with this incredibly fresh and interesting offering, ‘On My Mind’.

Miss Goulding is preparing to release her third album, ‘Delirium’, on 6th November and this looks to be her first new release from the record.

It’s such a great move for her and sees her taking on a new sound and it really suits her. It’s definitely got me excited to hear the rest of the album! A music video for the track was just released yesterday and it’s steamy as anything…go Ellie!

‘On My Mind’ is available for download from iTunes right now – https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/on-my-mind/id1040134609?i=1040134775

Ellie Goulding – ‘On My Mind’

Pentatonix Banner

You probably already know of Pentatonix, as they’re probably one of the biggest a cappella groups on the internet! The quintet are widely known for their unique covers of pop songs, like ‘Daft Punk’ and ‘Radioactive’, but this release sees them trying their hand at original material…and what an amazing step this is for them!

‘Can’t Sleep Love’ (featuring Tink) is so catchy and their harmonies are just perfection; very reminiscent of Justin Timberlake’s and have quite a vintage feel to them. If this song is anything to go by, their upcoming, originals album should be sensational!

‘Can’t Sleep Love’ (with and without Tink) can be downloaded now – https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/cant-sleep-love-feat.-tink/id1035387084?i=1035387851
