#FeelGoodFriday: SafetySuit – ‘Perfect Color’

Although they released their third, self-titled album last year (2016), SafetySuit are already back with a cracking new track, ‘Perfect Color’.

I have a lot of love for this band and this latest track is so uplifting and positive that it was just perfect for sharing on #FeelGoodFriday.

It’s a song that singer, Doug Brown, sings, “To the misfits and the freaks, to the outcasts and the geeks, to the weird kids that don’t care.” It is without a doubt, not just a fan anthem but a song that cries out to just about anyone, to belt at the top of their lungs. It’s an anthem that just about anyone can accept into their hearts as “their” song. The echoey, euphoric guitar riffs make for the perfect ascension to the already all-consuming chorus.

As for the lyrics – they’re a stroke of genius – the use of colours to tell the message is beautifully crafted. I can be certain that I will be singing this in my car, windows down, volume up!

No music video’s been released but the lyric video is pretty stunning – check it out below!

What are your thoughts of the band’s latest single? Are you a fan of this uplifting track? Got a #FeelGoodFriday track to recommend us? Please leave your thoughts or song suggestions in a comment or via our socials.

#FeelGoodFriday: One Direction – ‘Perfect’

Whatever you may think of the One Direction boys, it’s undeniable that they have a good team of songwriters on board to help them pen some great songs! This latest song, ‘Perfect’ (taken from their upcoming 5th album, ‘Made In The A.M.’) is an uplifting love song. The upcoming album is the first to be released since Zayn Malik left the band and will be the group’s last album before they take an extended break from touring and work on their own solo material.

Is this the sign of the end? Will they ever reform? Will any of them actually see success as soloists? No doubt the world’s Directioners have many questions about the boys’ future, but only time will tell.

‘Perfect’ is also gaining a lot of sensation on the internet, with people saying that it’s like a carbon copy of Taylor Swift’s ‘Style’ and although I see similarities, I think it’s just the musical style that’s similar.

The video has just been released earlier this week and is quite simplistic, but the black and white style, suits the song perfectly.

What do you think of the 1D guys? Is this song floating your boat? What’s your #FeelGoodFriday song of choice this week? Leave a comment below or on our social medias.
