Platnum – ‘Just For Me’

Manchester’s monster-cool garage/bassline/R&B group, Platnum are back! After their northern UK tour at the start of this year (and a great Skype interview with us!) the pair are back with a brand new song, ‘Just For Me’, and it’s already getting the recognition it deserves!

It premiered on Friday 22nd April 2016, on DJ Targets Targo Embargo on BBC 1Xtra and was voted as the Best New Release of the Week! It’s got an old-school garage vibe to it and the sample is so on point!

This track is incredibly exciting and sure to get Platnum to the top!

Please check out the duo’s documentary below, too!

will.i.am – ‘Boys & Girls’ featuring Pia Mia

will.i.am is making a triumphant return to music with his latest release, ‘Boys & Girls’ featuring Pia Miasince his 2013 album, #willpower.

The song has that signature will.i.am sound to it and has some serious electro-hop vibes to it and actually sounds a little reminiscent of early UK garage music, in places. The track serves as the first single from his upcoming project and has already been proving popular amongst his fans!

The video is pretty cool too; check it out below!

#MuzikSpeaks: An Interview with Platnum

Aaron Evers and Michelle McKenna from Platnum took the time to do a Skype interview with us, and they were awesome!

We’re back with another interview, and this time, it’s with Platnum.

Having taken a short break from music, they’re back, as a duo, and getting ready to tour in January 2016.

The pair (who rose to fame in 2008, with their H “Two” O collaboration, ‘What’s It Gonna Be’) have been taking some time to work on new music. Their first garage/bassline anthem became huge and having spoken to them, they inform me that their new music will see a return to their musical roots, while still remaining commercial.

I had such an amazing time interviewing Aaron and Michelle – they were a real laugh and so nice!

Continuing from the tradition set in our previous ZebraheadFrankmusik and Life Of Dillon interviews, we asked Platnum to take part in a game of ‘Would You Rather…?’ – however, Aaron decided they should throw themselves straight into the WTF?! (#WYRwtf) level…brave!

I really hope that you will enjoy watching this interview as I had a great time talking to them and please, please go ahead and share this link and video on your social media accounts!
