Misha B is finally back with her latest single, ‘Letter To My Sistars’, and I couldn’t be happier to see her return!
The latest song from the ex-X Factor artist has a definitive, old-school R&B / Hip Hop vibe with an understated beatbox intro, vinyl-tinted beats and clean guitar melodies throughout, topped off with some wonderfully raw and effortless vocal harmonies.
‘Letter To My Sistars’ is a strong departure from her post-X Factor days yet still remains polished and true to herself. It’s a female empowerment track about looking out for each other (Don’t mess – “If you put a finger on my sister, guaranteed your head pop, pop, pop just like blister”); an urban anthem at its best.
The video for the track is fun too – seeing Misha B performing alongside strong female characters in and around the urban environment but also has narrative segments depicting Misha as a child, with one of her “sistars”, as referenced in the track. Go check it out, below.
I’m super excited for this return and hope that maybe this will signal an upcoming debut album?! We can only hope!

Kris Evans (previously of The Mend/Race The Horizon) has just dropped his new single, ‘Famous’…and it’s massive!
Think Dappy meets Chris Brown with a slightly more underground, urban edge but topped with a strong chorus and you’ve got this single; it’s genuinely one of the freshest songs I’ve heard recently and I can’t get enough of it!
Also, 2018 is already looking very promising for Kris, who’s been nominated for ‘Best Urban Act Of 2018’ at the Unsigned Music Awards! What’s more, Kris has further big plans ahead, which include more releases and some exciting live performances across the UK.
No music video has been released for this track yet, but if one does emerge, we’ll be sure to keep you updated.

Bexey Swan is currently an unsigned British rapper, who was born August 3rd 1996. Bexey‘s previous stage name was Zehtroid Vzn,before he changed it to his current cognomen.
The rapper posts the majority of his music on his SoundCloud account, where he is close to 20k followers.
Some of his most popular songs include ‘Suitcase’ as well as ‘MYTH KILLA’ and ‘YOUNG HEARTBREAKER.’ Before the tragic and unpredicted passing of rapper Lil Peep, the two were close friends and posted frequent collaborations as well as Bexey supporting Peepon his most recent European tour.
In the song ‘Suitcase’,Bexeypaints the picture of the struggles and challenges his fast-paced tour and music producing life can present to him. He also talks about how he has grown as a musician, when people doubted him.
“My boy’s ain’t slept in like two days, no way, it’s too late. Life feeling like a movie.” – ‘Suitcase’, Bexey
The sombre, slightly melancholy vibe of this song is emphasised by his somewhat robotic, synthesised voice. The deep, repetitive beat paired with the guitar gives the track a slow, steady pace which reflects the lyrics where Bexey sings about his lack of sleep, due to the rhythm of his schedule.
What do you think of this unsigned rapper’s honest tune? Have you got anything similar to recommend? Or do you have something of a different genre to recommend us? Use the hashtag, #WildCardWednesday or hit us up via our socials.
Nicki Minaj is back with new music and not just one, but three brand new singles, ‘No Frauds’, ‘Changed It’ and ‘Regret In Your Tears’.
Each track is great in its own respect, but ‘Regret In Your Tears’ seems the perfect way to kick off this week, for #MellowMonday.
Her vocals are whispery and quiet in places, yet the beat still seems to be quite Caribbean at heart – it’s a sultry song and shows a new edge to her sound. I’m a big fan of this song and these new tracks surely signify a new album on the horizon?!
No official video has been released yet but naturally we’ll keep you updated if one arises.
Keep up the great work Ms. Minaj – we salute your return!
Tre Coast has recently come to my attention with this incredible, tropical house-style anthem!
The song is very current but has something unique about it, in the form of Tre’s voice. For those who haven’t heard of him yet, I’m sure you soon will – he’s picking up an impressive online following and whilst he’s previously been known for his rapping, this song sees him taking on a more soulful, singing vibe.
No official video has emerged for this track yet and it’s not on Spotify or iTunes, but I couldn’t let this song go unshared! Please check out the SoundCloud player below and please share the link to this post! We’ll keep you updated if any video is released too!

This is Thai Mason; a UK-based rapper from Birmingham, who has just released his latest single, ‘Look Up’.
The song is produced by Bearcubs and The Dealer and is a very personal song. It serves as a reminder that you should always try to stay positive; even through some of the darkest times we might go through!
This latest track is his follow-up to 2015’s ‘Drunk’, for which he received over 250,000 streams online, as well as being playlisted on BBC 1Xtra.
I love the honesty in this song and admire the skill with which his lyrics are crafted – it’s just a great song! No official video has been released as of yet – we’ll keep you posted if anything arises.
*UPDATE* – the music video has now been released and it’s stunning – check it out below!

Jason Derulo released his latest single, ‘If It Ain’t Love’ on 1st April 2016 and it looks set to be the second single from his upcoming, as-yet-untitled, fifth studio album.
Apart from the single artwork (featuring Derulo in a violet-coloured suit and fedora hat), not much else has been released. The official video is still to be unveiled, but as usual we’ll keep you updated on this.
The song is another dance-pop banger from the American artist and has definitely got the catchy-factor going on!
Fifth Harmony – ‘Work From Home’ featuring Ty Dolla $ign
‘Work’ is the first single to be taken from US quintet, Fifth Harmony‘s upcoming second album, 7/27.
Originally called ‘Work’ but re-titled to avoid confusion with Rihanna’s ‘Work‘, the song features American rapper, Ty Dolla $ign and has an incredibly catchy hook that’ll suck even the toughest of critics in! The combination of Pop and R&B is brilliantly executed and it’s beautiful in its simplicity.
The track has seen great success on our shores and reached Number 2 in the UK charts.
