I can’t believe it’s been 20 years already, since blink-182 first released their massive hit single, ‘What’s My Age Again?’ from their hugely successful album, Enema of the State.

Without a doubt, the trio have firmly embedded this as a punk rock classic that is sure to stay a firm fan favourite for years to come.

2019 marks the 20th anniversary of the single and album and although Tom DeLonge is currently not a member of the band, the members still publicly show support for each other’s projects and are celebrating the release with a tour and the addition of singer, Matt Skiba.

Not only are the lyrics witty but the music video is possibly one of the most hilarious and iconic ones of its time. I don’t think many people can have missed this…mainly due to the band’s hilarious nakedness running down the street, but in case you have somehow managed not to see it, check it out below!

#ThrowbackThursday: Paramore – ‘Misery Business’

As if Paramore‘s ‘Misery Business’ is a decade old already?! You might not believe it, but it is. This week, the track turned 10 years old.

The song was the lead single from the band’s second studio album, Riot!, and it peaked at Number 17 in the UK charts (the highest position the band received until that point). It’s an incredible, punchy, sing-along track that just makes you want to bounce around to it, wherever you are. Hayley Williams’ voice is just remarkable in it too.

The music video was fantastic too – it merged scenes of the band performing with high school clips involving a “bitch” pushing people around, hurting people and cutting off a girl’s hair, until the band give her a taste of her own medicine. It’s definitely worth a watch, so check it out below.

Do you still love this track, 10 years on? Are you still a fan of Paramore today? Have you got a different #ThrowbackThursday track to recommend us? Please leave your thoughts or song suggestions in a comment or hit us up via social media.

#ThrowbackThursday: Good Charlotte – ‘The River’ featuring M. Shadows & Synyster Gates

I love Good Charlotte; always have, always will!

I cannot believe that ‘The River was released a decade ago; it’s an incredible song with a pretty wicked video too; it’s a timeless track!

The song was taken from the band’s fourth album, Good Morning Revival, and featured M. Shadows and Synyster Gates from the band Avenged Sevenfold. It’s a high-intensity track that made a huge impact on me from the very first listen – it’s got a massive energy to it. Interestingly, there are several references to the Bible throughout the song and the running time of the track is 3:16, which an intentional reference to John 3:16.

The track was also dedicated to James “The Rev” Sullivan (from Avenged Sevenfold) after his passing.

Remember this track? Got another favourite Good Charlotte song? Please share your thoughts or own #ThrowbackThursday song in a comment or via our social media accounts.

Can you throwback to a time your weren’t even born yet?! I don’t know, but I’m going to!

Earth, Wind & Fire released this massive tune, ‘September’, back in 1978. At the time of it’s release, it reached Number 3 in the UK charts. It was then remixed by Phats & Small and re-released (as ‘September 1999’) in 1999.

It has also been covered countless times and appeared in many forms of media, including Family Guy, American Dad! and The Cleveland Show.

This song is just about everything fun you could want in a song; it’s the perfect blend of R&B and Disco and has enough Funk to almost be considered lethal; it’s awesome!

Are you a fan? Will this song get you groovin’? Please share it on your social media accounts! Much love 🙂
